I have been in private practice for over 20 years. I worked at the Oklahoma University Health Science Center in the Department of Psychiatry, In-patient unit for over 5 years. I was Director of Counseling with the Oklahoma City Public Schools, Coordinator of Drug and Alcohol Department, and Crisis Intervention. I also was director of a grant for Suicide Prevention coordinating programs within the schools. I also have an expertise in career development. At the national level, I was on the Board for the American Counseling Association with over 51,000 members. At the state level, I have been Executive Director for the Oklahoma Counseling Association and the Oklahoma Mental Health Counseling Association. I have a certification as a school psychologist. I enjoy working with all ages in finding solutions that develop due to PTSD, family problems, academic motivation, and self- esteem. As a Marriage and Family Therapist, I enjoy helping families find successful ways of communication and learning ways of finding their love for one another. As a Christian, I was an Elder in a church and feel that a spiritual component in counseling is important.
